The Main Museum Shop

The Main Museum Shop is located in the Michigan Avenue lobby of our historic building. Find our widest assortment of gifts, jewelry, and museum adaptations from around the world. In addition to merchandise derived from the Art Institute's collection and exhibitions, the main Museum Shop also has a comprehensive range of art-related titles in its book department.

The Asian/Exhibition Shop

Located at the crossroads of the historic building and the Modern Wing, this shop features an exciting and rotating array of merchandise from Asia and/or related to exhibitions in the Rice Gallery. Discover exotic and exciting sculpture, home furnishings, jewelry, souvenirs and books inspired by the museum's renowned Asian collections. During the museum's popular exhibitions, find an even more expansive variety of product including catalogs and souvenirs related to the featured exhibition.

The Modern Wing Shop

Located immediately inside the Modern Wing's Millennium Park entrance on Monroe Street, this new shop features a diverse selection of art reproductions, books, design objects, textiles, gifts and jewelry. The assortment showcases items related to special exhibitions, exclusive pieces developed in tandem with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, design objects from today's brightest talent, and a comprehensive collection of current books on modern art, design, architecture, photography, and contemporary art and culture.

Balcony Café

Overlooking the soaring expanse of Griffin Court, the Balcony Café is the perfect place to relax and recharge during your visit to the Modern Wing. Lounge at the coffee bar while perusing books on art, design, architecture and culture, and enjoy an expanded selection of magazines.

Revenue generated from the Art Institute's retail-merchandising activities helps support the many programs of the museum.
